Three Amigos

Add Johnny Tingey to this gang of three and you'll have four of my favorite young men.

We are a day closer to the BIG DAY with Spencer and Anna. Mom and I and Jacob are leaving Wednesday morning early and should arrive at Whitney's home late Wednesday night.

Spencer will arrive later as will Grandma and Grandpa (in Spencer's car).

Sally and T.J. are flying. I believe their plane leaves Phoenix sometime in the morning. I will only assume she has made arrangements to be picked up. I know T.J. is covering all his bases because Sally asked me to bring up his set of golf clubs.

Thank you, Whitney, for the invitation to stay at your house. We'll be there at least through most or all of Saturday and probably into Sunday. It would be nice to spend Sunday night in Mapleton if for no other reason than to save a few miles of driving on Monday.

I spent the day with a photographer and videographer from the company that makes our large electric shovels, P&H. They needed a few shots of the shovels at work for some of the upcoming marketing efforts. I drove them into the pit to the place where one of the brand new P&H shovels was working. Those are $15 million pieces of equipment the size of a fairly large home. I will try to include a picture in an upcoming post. The operator sits about 30 feet above the ground. Each dipper (the bucket) scoops up about 70 cubic yards of copper ore and dumps it into large haul truck like this one...

You can see the driver of this truck sitting atop the wheels that are twelve feet in diameter.

Well... I'm getting more tired by the minute so I am going to end and say...

Tot Ziens.

It was nice to have you here - you did a good job with Spen wedding (what you had to do). The boys love the pic of the truck!
